Golf Room Fit is a guide, not a guarantee. Figures are what the maker or a retailer publishes, and we have not tested any product. Measure your room twice, swing a club in the space, and check the maker's own page before you buy.

See the space each one asks for side by side in the launch monitor table, with where every figure comes from.

Your kind of room

The garage, basement and spare bedroom each have their own ceiling traps.

How the numbers work

The calculator compares your room with published figures and adds a ceiling rule for your swing. It shows gaps as gaps. Read the methodology and the ceiling height guide.

Questions

Where do the space figures come from?
From the launch monitor makers and from retailers that publish room guides. Each monitor page says which figure came from which kind of page, and links the source. See the methodology.
Has Golf Room Fit tested these products?
No. We have not tested any product. The result is a calculation on published figures, so measure your room twice and swing a club in the space before you buy.
What does tight mean?
Tight means the room meets the lowest figure published but is short of the recommended one. The monitor should work, with less margin, and it may limit the swing or the readings.
Why does a row say not published?
Because no source we read gives that figure. We show the gap instead of guessing, and it never counts as a pass or a fail.
How is the ceiling checked?
We add 36 to 48 inches to your height for the club at the top of a driver swing, then use the larger of that and the maker figure. See the ceiling height guide.
Are the room sizes sent anywhere?
No. The calculation runs in your browser. Your inputs sit in the page address so you can share the result. We record only coarse outcomes, never the size of your room.
Does price or a commission change the order?
No. Monitors that fit come first, then tight ones, then by name. Affiliate status and price are never used. See how we make money.
